YouTube Shorts Auto-Scroll ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and what is stored.

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. No analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind is used.

Network Requests

The Extension makes no external network requests. All functionality runs entirely within your browser using YouTube's existing page elements.

Local Storage

The Extension uses Chrome's chrome.storage.local API to save your preferences. The only values stored are:

autoscrollEnabled — whether auto-scroll is on or off
skipSynthetic — whether to skip AI-flagged content

This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to any external server.

Host Permissions

The Extension requires access to the following host:

*://www.youtube.com/*

Injects a content script on YouTube to provide auto-scroll, snap-scroll, and AI content skipping on Shorts pages. The script only activates on /shorts URLs and is inactive on all other YouTube pages.

Changes to This Policy

If the Extension's data practices change, this policy will be updated accordingly. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
